Limited Warranty
Sea Power Marine Products – Limited Lifetime Warranty
Sea Power Marine Products, LLC (“Sea Power”) warrants to the original purchaser that all high-density polyethylene (HDPE) marine dock components are free from defects in material and manufacturing workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the product, provided that the product is installed and used in accordance with Sea Power’s published installation guidelines.
This warranty covers defects proven to have originated in the material or manufacturing process of the product. If Sea Power determines, after inspection of a returned component, that a defect exists, a repair or replacement part will be provided at Sea Power’s discretion. Replacement parts may be new or refurbished, depending on availability.
Coverage
- Structural HDPE Body: Lifetime coverage for the original purchaser.
- Welded / Heat-Affected Zones: Ten (10) years.
- Hardware and Accessories: Five (5) years.
- Installation Workmanship (for Sea Power Certified Installers only): One (1) year.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover the following: - Improper installation, including incorrect sizing, misalignment, or lack of required spacing.
- Installation configurations that create unbalanced torque, cluster multiple guides on one side of a float, or induce twisting, binding, or uneven load paths.
- Tight fits: pile guides must be at least two inches larger than the widest part of the pile (approximately one inch of clearance on all sides). A tight fit will void the warranty.
- Overloading, impact damage, collision, or operation beyond the product’s rated capacity.
- Environmental stress cracking, corrosion, marine growth, UV-related fading, chemical damage, or normal wear and tear.
- Any modifications or field alterations to the product, or use of non–Sea Power components in conjunction with the product.
- Any labor or service costs, including removal, reinstallation, travel, haul-out, or related service charges.
Claims Process
To submit a warranty claim, you must follow Sea Power’s Forensic Review Protocol: - Return Authorization: Contact Sea Power to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number before returning any product.
- Freight and Inspection: Ship the product (freight pre-paid by you) back to Sea Power for inspection.
- Documentation: Provide proof of purchase and clear photographs of the installation. Photos should include a close-up of the affected area, a 45° angle shot, a full-view of the product, and a wide shot of the overall dock where the product is installed.
- No Inspection Without RA: Products returned without an RA number or without the required photos will not be inspected under warranty.
- If Defect Is Confirmed: Sea Power will, at its discretion, repair the product or provide a replacement part, and will ship the replacement to you freight-prepaid.
- If No Defect Is Found: The product can be returned to you freight-collect (at your expense) or, if you prefer, Sea Power can dispose of the product.
Limit of Remedy
Sea Power’s responsibility under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective parts as stated above. Sea Power will not be liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use or failure of the product.

Installation Notice – Warranty Conditions
Failure to follow all of the installation rules below constitutes improper installation and will void all warranty coverage:
- Sizing: Pile guides must have an internal diameter at least two inches (2″) larger than the widest part of the pile – this ensures roughly one inch of clearance on all sides. A guide that fits too tightly will not be covered under warranty.
- Balanced Load: Do not cluster multiple pile guides on one side of a float, and avoid any uneven guide spacing that could create excessive torque, twisting, or binding forces.
- Proper Torque: Follow Sea Power’s specified torque and alignment guidelines during installation. Never force components into place or over-tighten (over-torque) the hardware.
- Approved Hardware: Use only the specified stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant fasteners recommended by Sea Power.
- Post-Install Check: After the first full tide cycle following installation, re-check the pile guide alignment and all fastener torques, and adjust if necessary.
- Photographic Evidence: Take clear photographs of each completed installation. Be sure to capture a close-up of the installed guide, a 45° angle view, a full-view of the product in place, and a wide shot showing the guide in context on the dock.
- Job Registration: Register the installation job with Sea Power and upload all required photos within 30 days of completion of the work.
- Record Keeping: Retain all installation documentation and the completed installation checklist in the customer’s file for future reference.
Improper pile placement, unbalanced or excessive loads, or failure to follow any of the above guidelines will result in voided warranty coverage.
