Installation Instructions

Sea Power’s Internal Pile Guide is made from high density polyethylene (“HDPE”). It is designed to be integrated internally within the deck of a floating dock, and encircles the piles holding the dock in position. The pile guide is available in a variety of sizes to accommodate any size of round pile, and is suitable for use with any type of pile material, including treated wood, fiberglass, and composite.

There are many advantages to using HDPE for pile guides. It has exceptional strength and longevity. The surface of the pile guide is smooth, so it minimizes the friction between the guide and the pile, and eliminates any abrasion of the pile. Also, HDPE is non-leaching, so it will not harm the aquatic environment.
